Latest Xbox Games

I’m thinking of halo 3 so far. I like shooter games and sports.

well i have modern warfare 2 and i really like it but i want a new game. i like shooting games but i was hoping to get something different like an RPG which i have never had before. i would just like a few suggestions and a little bit of info about the game you recommend

Normally deciding between the ps3 and Wii would a no-brainer for the former, but given the significant overlap between xbox and ps3 games, I am not so sure whether investing into the wii would not be better. Since I have not played the ps2 (gamecube) games Okami, RE4 and Prince of Persia Two Thrones (aka rival swords) I think they would add great value for me (since the new ps3s are not compatible backwards). Furthermore, games like Mario Galaxy 1-2, Metroid Prime trilogy, Zelda, Mario bros, Kart and upcoming sequels (Metroid other M and Zelda) seem to be better, than ps3 exclusives like Uncharted 1-2, Infamous, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain or the long coming Gran Turismo 5.

Could someone who actually played some of these games on both consoles give me an unbiased opinion? (I have only played GOW 3, Little Big Planet on the PS3 (did not like either style of game) and Wii Sports and Dead Space extraction on the Wii (hated the former, the later was alright))

How is the future of PS3 (especially having lost a studio like insomniac recently) and Wii exclusives are going to look like?

I am into FPS games, and since I heard that Sony PS3 have free online gaming and have a blu-ray player, im thinking about getting it. The Xbox 360 is ok but I don’t see any good games for me right now. The PS3, however, have games like Killzone2, Resistance, Army of Two, COD 4, and many other FPS games that I like… The problem is if I switch to PS3 now, later on 360 might have games that i like instead…then i would be screwed… so i need some opinions

I’m on a really tight budget, so I was thinking about the one in the link above. I realize that it does not come with a hard drive, but I’m not sure if we even need one. The only thing that I would want out of an Xbox is for it to be similar to his Playstation 2 in the way that you just pop in a game, my kid plays it for a few hours, then saves it for later.

My question is this: Without a hard drive, is there only a very limited number of games this will play? How will I know which games it supports, and which it does not? And will it play regular Xbox (non 360) games? Also, why exactly would I need a hard drive in it….other than for downloading music, movies, or other games. I don’t want to be able to do all that. I only want to be able for him to be able to put in a disk, then be able to play. I figure that later on, if we REALLY need a hard drive, we can get one then.

Obviously, I don’t know much about having an Xbox….but it’s cheaper than a PS3, so I thought I would look into the options. Thanks!!
I have no problem with buying an extra memory card. I just don’t know why exactly I would need the hard drive. My kid is only 6…he doesn’t really need all the extra music and movies and stuff….just to be able to play the games.

my xbox 360 has had some heating problems so i decided to take it apart. I loaded a game up for a couple minutes it will play, but then a few minutes later it goes to a ring of death. I no its not broken because if it was it wouldnt load. Any one have any idea why its doing this?
